CBI Prisoner Ministry

What is CBI Prison Ministry?

Crossroads Bible Institute (CBI) is an international discipleship and advocacy program for prisoners and their families. It equips members of the church to disciple people in prison with the word of God, free of charge, wherever they are incarcerated. CBI instructor volunteers participate in a personal, in-depth, and long-term program that helps incarcerated persons grow dramatically in a life-transforming relationship with Jesus Christ.

One Blessing From This Ministry

CBI instructors, who spend about one hour a week reviewing the Bible lesson and writing a letter of encouragement to a prisoner, find their own faith flourishing as they are privileged to be an ingredient of God’s saving grace for prisoners.

Prospective instructors should contact CBI at www.cbi.org to obtain information and receive instructions. In Cadillac CRC, a small group of CBI instructors have been participating in this program for five to ten years; we meet once a month to share and pray for our prisoners. Joining this group is optional for the CBI instructor. Anyone interested in exploring this ministry further is invited to contact the church office.
